Wynn Las Vegas sits on the north end of the central Strip corridor on Las Vegas Boulevard. The property connects directly to Encore, its sister resort, so guests move between the two without stepping outside. That connection also extends the range of dining, entertainment, and nightlife available on foot. The Wynn Esplanade and Wynn Plaza Shops front the boulevard, and the main resort entrance is set back far enough from the Strip sidewalk that arriving by rideshare feels notably calmer than approaching properties with street-level entrances. The resort runs a paid airport shuttle through an outside company for guests who prefer not to arrange their own transfers.

The pool deck runs three distinct areas: the Resort Pool, the Tower Suites Pool reserved for Tower Suite guests, and the European Pool, sometimes called the Sunset Pool, which operates clothing-optional hours. All three are landscaped with enough greenery that the concrete Strip outside reads as a different world. XS and Encore Beach Club handle the nightlife, with XS operating as an indoor club and Encore Beach Club extending that energy into a daytime and evening outdoor setting. The Overlook Lounge and the Aft Cocktail Deck give quieter alternatives, and the Aft terrace in particular is the prime spot for watching the Lake of Dreams show, where music and holographic imagery play against a 40-foot waterfall built into the property's manmade mountain from dusk onward.

The Lake of Dreams is tucked behind the Strip's only manmade mountain, invisible from Las Vegas Boulevard entirely. To reach the viewing area, find the circular escalator inside the resort and ride it down. Shows run at half-hour intervals from dusk, and the Aft Cocktail Deck terrace is the closest and most comfortable vantage point. Arriving early enough to claim a seat there before the first show is worth the planning.

The minibar in Wynn Resort rooms is sensor-equipped, meaning moving an item to make room for your own groceries triggers an automatic charge. It's the kind of thing that surprises guests who haven't encountered it before.
