Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

This policy explains what information VegasDayNight.com (“Vegas Day & Night”, “we”) collects when you use this site, why, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. Vegas Day & Night is an independent guide to Las Vegas entertainment. We do not offer accounts, we do not sell tickets, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

Information collected automatically

Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server records basic request data: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working. They are deleted automatically after 14 days and are not shared.

Page visit log. We keep our own record of page visits: the page, the referring page, browser details, the time, and a shortened form of your IP address (the last part removed). Known bots are filtered out. We use it to measure real traffic and spot automated abuse. These records are kept for up to 12 months and are not shared.

Booking link clicks. When you click a link to book on Vegas.com, we record the click so we can see which pages and listings are useful. The record includes the page you were on, the listing and link clicked, the referring site and campaign tags, device type, scroll depth and time on page, a shortened form of your IP address (the last part removed), browser details, and session and analytics identifiers. These records are kept for up to 12 months and are not shared.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they come from. Google processes this data on our behalf. Advertising features are turned off. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Analytics cookies last up to about 13 months. See the Cookies section below for how consent works.

Information you give us

Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose, and your message. We use them only to read and answer your message. Messages are kept for up to 12 months and are then deleted. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Cookies

Necessary cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off: PHPSESSID and session_secret (security and session handling, deleted when you close your browser) and vdn_consent (remembers your cookie choice for 180 days).

Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) are set by Google Analytics.

  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google Analytics does not load until you click Accept on our cookie banner.
  • Elsewhere, Google Analytics is on by default and you can switch it off at any time.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a choice to switch analytics off.

You can change your choice at any time with the link in the site footer. Switching analytics off removes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Google also offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on all sites.

Third-party content and links

Images from Vegas.com. Many show, attraction and tour images are loaded directly from Vegas.com. When your browser loads them, Vegas.com receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Vegas.com’s privacy policy. Many browsers block these third-party cookies by default.

Fonts. Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when those pages load.

Affiliate links. Booking links take you to Vegas.com through the Impact affiliate network. Those services set their own cookies so the booking can be credited to us. We do not receive your name, payment details or booking details. Anything you do on Vegas.com is covered by Vegas.com’s own terms and privacy policy.

How information is used and shared

We use the information above only to run, secure and improve this site and to understand which content helps readers. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse. Data is stored on servers located in the United States.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. To make a request, use our contact form and choose the topic “Privacy request”. We will respond within 30 days.

Because we have no accounts, we can usually only find information you gave us directly, such as a contact message. Server logs and analytics data are not tied to your name, so we may not be able to match them to you.

Children

This site is intended for adults planning a trip to Las Vegas and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
