About Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino

Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino earns its reputation as the go-to property for serious sports bettors, but the resort is considerably more than its famous SuperBook. Spread across roughly 3,000 rooms, the property carries a distinct personality shaped by decades of marquee entertainment - Barry Manilow has performed here, as have Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and the resort's Sky Villas have housed a roster of legendary names including Liberace and Wayne Newton. A bronze statue of Elvis by sculptor Carl Romanelli stands near the lobby, and Sid's Cafe serves the Elvis Sandwich - a battered, fried peanut butter, jelly and banana creation that's exactly what it sounds like.

The resort underwent a significant renovation, refreshing everything from guest rooms to the pool deck to the SuperBook itself. Signature rooms reflect that update most clearly, featuring Strip or golf course views, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers and mini fridges. For guests who want maximum space, the Sky Villas range from around 12,600 to 15,400 square feet - more floor area than several average houses combined - and can be reserved for private stays or events.

Dining at Westgate covers a wide range: Edge Steakhouse for serious cuts, Fresco Italiano for Italian, and a dedicated Asian dining complex housing Benihana, Silk Road Asian Bistro and Rikki Tikki Sushi, all set around an interior with waterfalls and a koi pond. That courtyard alone is worth a slow lap with a drink before or after dinner.

Westgate Las Vegas sits on South Paradise Road, roughly a block east of the Strip and directly beside the Las Vegas Convention Center - a fact that matters a great deal to anyone in town for a trade show or conference. The Las Vegas Monorail stops right at the property, connecting guests to Harrah's/The LINQ Hotel and Casino, the Flamingo, Paris, MGM Grand and other points along the corridor without touching a car. A giant bronze statue of Man o' War marks the south entrance off Paradise Road, which is the most direct route if you're heading straight to the SuperBook. The Strip itself is a short ride or a walkable distance depending on your tolerance for Nevada heat.

The non-smoking SuperBook is the centerpiece most guests come for: more than 400 seats, a 240-foot-wide by 20-foot-tall indoor LED video wall, and a VIP section called the Ultimate Fan Cave where oversize HD screens let bettors lock in on multiple games at once from lounge-style seating. The casino floor covers blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette, pai gow poker, Let It Ride, Big Six, slot machines, Megabucks and Wheel of Fortune, plus a dedicated smoke-free slot area and a poker pit. Entertainment headliners rotate through the resort's showrooms - current offerings include Barry Manilow: The Hits Come Home, The Magic of Jen Kramer, Soul of Motown, and Engelbert Humperdinck. The five-acre pool deck looks out toward the Strip and includes a hot tub.

Arriving by car, the south parking garage off Paradise Road puts you closest to the SuperBook - useful if that's your only stop. The garage runs six stories, though the top two levels are currently closed, so peak-event weekends can fill the lower floors faster than guests expect. Ground-level parking is also available. The timeshare component of the Westgate Resorts family is visible inside: a presentation space near the North Tower means you may be approached about vacation ownership during your stay, though staff are notably low-pressure compared to similar programs at other properties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about staying at Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino

Is Westgate Las Vegas a good fit if sports betting isn't your thing?

Westgate Las Vegas suits non-bettors well if live entertainment or convention access is the priority. The showroom hosts rotating headliners, the Asian dining complex with its koi pond courtyard has a genuinely relaxed atmosphere, and the monorail connection means Strip resorts are minutes away. Guests who want a quieter, less casino-floor-centric base often find the off-Strip location an advantage rather than a compromise.

What's the Ultimate Fan Cave, and how is it different from the main SuperBook floor?

The Ultimate Fan Cave is a VIP section within the SuperBook, fitted with 120-inch HD screens that can show up to 16 games at once and armchair-style seating designed for long viewing sessions. The main SuperBook floor holds more than 400 seats and faces the full 240-foot LED wall, so the Fan Cave trades raw scale for a more contained, lounge-like setup suited to watching a specific game closely rather than monitoring everything at once.

How practical is it to reach other Strip casinos without a car?

Westgate Las Vegas has its own Las Vegas Monorail stop, which runs south through Harrah's/The LINQ Hotel and Casino, the Flamingo, Paris and down to MGM Grand. For destinations the monorail doesn't reach directly, rideshare pickup is straightforward from the Paradise Road entrance. Guests attending events at the Las Vegas Convention Center next door don't need transport at all - it's an adjacent walk.
