The STRAT sits at the northern stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard, physically on the Strip but closer to the downtown corridor than to the center of the resort zone. That positioning is genuinely useful: Fremont Street is reachable in one direction, the main concentration of Strip casinos in the other, and the hotel works as a base for both without committing to either neighbourhood.

The Deuce double-decker bus and the SDX express bus both stop directly in front of the property and run around the clock, which matters when the night goes later than planned. Taxis stage under the porte-cochere for anyone who prefers a direct ride.

Dining at The STRAT runs from quick to ceremonial. Top of the World handles the latter with a revolving format and steakhouse menu that few properties can match for sheer spectacle. McCall's Heartland Grill offers a more grounded steakhouse alternative, while CHI Asian Kitchen, Nunzio's Pizzeria, PT's Wings & Sports, the STRAT Cafe, 108 Eats, and a McDonald's and Starbucks cover everything from a fast breakfast to a late-night reset. The Swim & Social Cafe and Bar connects the dining map to the pool deck at the Swim & Social Pool.

For drinks and nightlife, 108 Drinks occupies a perch just above the tower observation level with cocktails and the kind of view that makes the elevator ride worth it.

The tower is the orientation point for everything inside the building: once you've found it, you've found your bearings. The lobby sits at ground level and moves steadily, particularly when check-in volume peaks in the late afternoon, so arrivals during quieter morning hours feel noticeably smoother.

Higher-floor rooms in the Vegas Tower face the boulevard and pick up enough ambient glow that the Strip view remains readable well after dark - a different quality than the same view at noon. Guests who book those rooms without a specific floor request may get one that delivers it, but requesting upper floors at check-in is worth the ask.

The property's scale means the walk from the parking structure or the bus stop to the front desk covers real distance, so anyone arriving with heavy luggage will want to use the closest drop-off point rather than shortcutting through the casino floor.
