The Cosmopolitan sits on the central Strip, placing guests within a short walk of a significant stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard. The hotel's vertical layout means the entrance, casino, restaurants, and pools are stacked across multiple levels rather than spread across a sprawling ground-floor footprint, so getting your bearings takes a pass or two through the building. The parking garage descends several levels and can feel disorienting on the first drive-in - the elevator banks at the east end drop you near the lobby and the Wicked Spoon buffet, while the elevators at the west end put you closer to the casino floor and the Shops at The Cosmopolitan. Arriving by rideshare or taxi tends to be more straightforward than navigating the self-park structure for the first time.

The Chandelier is the property's centrepiece bar and one of the more distinctive rooms on the Strip - three levels of lounge space draped in millions of crystal strands that run ceiling to floor, giving the whole structure the feel of standing inside a giant light fitting. Each tier serves a different mood: the ground level runs closer to a casino bar and often hosts live music or a DJ, the second floor is where the serious mixology happens (the off-menu Verbena involves chewing a Szechuan Button flower bud before the drink even arrives), and the top tier settles into a quieter lounge register. Beyond The Chandelier, nightlife options include Marquee Nightclub and its dayclub counterpart, Vesper Bar, Clique, Bond, and The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails.

The terrace room category is where The Cosmopolitan separates itself most clearly from comparable Strip hotels. Most Terrace One Bedroom Suites include a private balcony - genuinely rare on the Strip - and stepping out above Las Vegas Boulevard at night is a different experience from watching the street through glass. Terrace Studio and City Room categories are available for guests who want access to everything the property offers without the suite footprint. The Wraparound Terrace Suites deliver panoramic Strip views that extend in both directions along the boulevard depending on which side of the building you land on; requesting a Bellagio Fountain-facing room when booking those suites is worth doing directly.
