The rematch is Wednesday, November 25, at T-Mobile Arena. Thanksgiving eve. Grudges travel.

Duke vs UConn at T-Mobile Arena

Duke vs UConn is one of three marquee non-conference games in Duke's new deal with Amazon Prime Video, the streamer's first college basketball package, so it airs on Prime Video. The other two send Jon Scheyer's team to Michigan at Madison Square Garden in December and Gonzaga in Detroit in February. Las Vegas gets the first and the one with the most history.

A rivalry built in March

These two programs rarely meet in November. Most of their history comes from the NCAA Tournament: UConn beat Duke 77-74 for its first national title in 1999, and the 2026 Elite Eight added another one-point UConn win. That makes this a regular-season game with a tournament crowd's memory. Both fan bases travel.

Why Las Vegas suits both teams

Familiar floor. Both programs have history in this building. Duke has played T-Mobile Arena three times before, including a 2016 sellout against UNLV and a 2021 win over No. 1 Gonzaga in front of 20,389 people, a record for a basketball crowd in Nevada. UConn has never played a regular-season game there, but it won twice at T-Mobile in the 2023 West Regional, beating Arkansas and Gonzaga on the way to the Final Four and that season's national title.

A college basketball week in Las Vegas

The same week brings Players Era 16, a 16-team tournament split between T-Mobile Arena and Michelob ULTRA Arena from November 24 to 28, with Gonzaga, Michigan, Alabama and St. John's in the field. Our Players Era guide has the brackets. Staying through the holiday? Our Thanksgiving in Las Vegas guide covers the shows that play that week, and the Thanksgiving hub has everything else on the calendar.
