If you're in Las Vegas for the last week of the National Finals Rodeo, the big theater show is Thomas Rhett at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace. He plays Thursday December 10, then comes back on Saturday December 12, the night the rodeo wraps up. Want something louder and more Texas? Head off the Strip to The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on Paradise Road. Casey Donahew shares the stage with Josh Abbott Band on Wednesday December 9, and Gavin Adcock plays there Thursday the 10th. Rhett brings the songs everybody knows from the radio. The Virgin nights belong to fans who came to sing every word and stay on their feet.
December 10 and 12: Thomas Rhett at the Colosseum
Thomas Rhett walks into the Colosseum with more than twenty number one singles behind him, and he only gets two nights there. "Die a Happy Man," "Marry Me," "Life Changes" and "What's Your Country Song" all topped the country airplay chart, which means most of the set is songs the whole building already knows. At the 2020 ACM Awards he and Carrie Underwood were both named Entertainer of the Year, the first tie that category ever produced. He's also second-generation Nashville: his father is the songwriter Rhett Akins. The room matters here. Caesars Palace built the Colosseum in 2003 for Celine Dion, it seats just over four thousand, and it's a far closer look at him than the amphitheaters and arenas he usually tours.

December 9: Casey Donahew and Josh Abbott Band at Virgin Hotels
Casey Donahew and Josh Abbott Band are the booking Texas country fans circle first. Both built their careers on the Texas circuit, mostly outside the Nashville radio machine, and on Wednesday they split one stage for a single night. Donahew grew up in Burleson, just south of Fort Worth, has been gigging since 2002 and puts his records out on his own label; "Stockyards" and "White Trash Story" are the ones that get shouted back. Josh Abbott Band formed at Texas Tech in Lubbock in 2006, and "She's Like Texas" is the song everybody in the building will know. Neither is a household name in New York. In a rodeo-week crowd, both are. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas holds about forty-six hundred in The Theater, which is plenty of room for two fan bases that travel.

December 10: Gavin Adcock at Virgin Hotels
Gavin Adcock is the fastest riser of the week, and the Vegas date sits on The Day I Hang It Up Tour, named for the album he puts out this October. He grew up on a cattle farm in Watkinsville, Georgia, and played nose tackle at Georgia Southern until a knee injury in 2021 ended football for him. Three years later he was on Warner Music Nashville. "A Cigarette" has gone platinum, "Deep End" went gold, and his 2025 album Own Worst Enemy opened inside the top twenty of the Billboard 200. That's a quick climb. Expect a crowd that knows the new songs already and sings the older ones like they're the hits, because to this audience they are.
When: Thursday December 10. Where: The Theater, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Paradise Road. Sound: gritty outlaw-leaning country at rock volume. Pick it if: you want the youngest, loudest room of the week.
When the answer changes
Thursday is the collision. Rhett and Adcock play the same night in different buildings, so anyone who wants both should take Rhett on Saturday and keep Thursday for Virgin. If you're holding rodeo tickets, geography helps the Paradise Road shows: Virgin sits on the same east side of the Strip as the Thomas and Mack Center, so getting there never means crossing the Boulevard, and Strip traffic on a rodeo night is its own event. And if nobody in your group has heard of Donahew or Abbott, Wednesday is a big first date with Texas country; Rhett is the gentler introduction. Friday the 11th belongs to the stadium: Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean bring the Double Down Tour to Allegiant Stadium that night, and Creed takes Fontainebleau on the 11th and 12th.

Thomas Rhett on Saturday if you want the rodeo's last night to end with four thousand people singing "Die a Happy Man," Virgin on Wednesday or Thursday if you want Texas and volume.
