The National Finals Rodeo runs ten nights at the Thomas and Mack Center from December 3, and the city books around it. The clearest evidence is the first weekend, when five country acts play four different rooms across two nights, four of them stacked on the same Saturday. If you're in town for the rodeo, the evening after it is already spoken for. If you aren't, this is the weekend the whole Las Vegas calendar turns country around you anyway.
Friday December 4: Gary Allan at Resorts World
Gary Allan is the one on this list who never sanded the edges off. Four number ones on the country chart, ten albums deep, and a voice with real rasp in it that has kept him on the road for thirty years while smoother singers came and went. "Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)" and "Nothing On but the Radio" are the ones the room will carry for him. Resorts World Theatre was built as a concert hall rather than converted into one, which suits a singer who is better live than on record.
When: Friday December 4. Where: Resorts World Theatre, north Strip. Sound: country with a rock guitar underneath. Pick it if: you want grit over polish.
Friday and Saturday: Dierks Bentley at Fontainebleau
Dierks Bentley is the only act here taking both nights, which makes him the weekend's flexible booking. He has been a Grand Ole Opry member since 2005, and his most recent album, Broken Branches, arrived in the summer of 2025, so the set isn't a straight run at the hits. "Drunk on a Plane" and "What Was I Thinkin'" do what they always do. BleauLive Theater is the newest of the four rooms on this list and the bluegrass side of his playing carries in it.
When: Friday December 4 and Saturday December 5. Where: BleauLive Theater, Fontainebleau. Sound: mainstream country with bluegrass roots. Pick it if: you want a choice of nights.
Saturday December 5: Chris Young at Resorts World
Chris Young has the biggest voice of anyone playing that weekend, a baritone that fills a hall without appearing to work at it. Fourteen number ones, an Opry member since 2017, and a tenth album released in late 2025 that gives the set somewhere new to go. "Gettin' You Home" and "I'm Comin' Over" are the moments the whole room sings. He takes the same stage Gary Allan had the night before, which makes Resorts World the room to watch if you only want to learn one route across town.
When: Saturday December 5. Where: Resorts World Theatre, north Strip. Sound: big-voiced modern country. Pick it if: you want the best singer on the bill.
Saturday December 5: Bailey Zimmerman at Planet Hollywood
Bailey Zimmerman draws the youngest and loudest crowd of the weekend by a distance. He went from posting songs on a phone to a number one that held Country Airplay for six weeks with "Rock and a Hard Place," and his second album, Different Night Same Rodeo, came out in August 2025, which is a title that could not be better aimed at this particular week. PH Live puts him in the middle of the Strip with the Miracle Mile wrapped around it, so this is the one you can walk to from most of the center-Strip hotels.
When: Saturday December 5. Where: PH Live, Planet Hollywood. Sound: gravel-voiced new-generation country. Pick it if: you want the rowdiest room.

Saturday December 5: Clay Walker at The Venetian
Clay Walker is the nineties option, and for a rodeo crowd that is the point rather than a compromise. His first four singles all went to number one, starting with "What's It to You" in 1993, and he stacked up four platinum studio albums across the decade that country radio was at its biggest. Venetian Theatre is a proper seated theater rather than an arena floor, which is the correct room for songs built on a voice and a story. Age sixteen and over here, unlike most of the weekend.
When: Saturday December 5. Where: Venetian Theatre, The Venetian. Sound: nineties country, straight down the middle. Pick it if: you want the classics sung properly.
Which night, and which room
Friday is the easy night: two shows, two ends of the Strip, no real conflict. Saturday's where you have to choose, because four of these run at once and the rodeo lets out into the same traffic. Take Chris Young for the voice, Bailey Zimmerman for the noise, Clay Walker for the catalog, Dierks Bentley if you want the option of either night. If the rodeo itself is why you're here, the National Finals Rodeo runs at the Thomas and Mack Center rather than on the Strip, so build the evening around the drive back rather than the other way round. And take Friday if you can: the same weekend, half the competition for a table afterwards.
