Max Amini Las Vegas: Encore Theater, December 26 and 27

Born in Arizona, raised partly in Iran, trained at UCLA: Max Amini turns a life between two cultures into fast, family-heavy stand-up. He closes his 2026 Wynn dates on the weekend after Christmas.

Take Me to Tickets

The weekend after Christmas is when Las Vegas fills back up, and Max Amini gets two nights of it at Encore Theater. That's a good fit. His act is mostly family: parents, cousins, expectations, and what happens when an Iranian household meets American life. Anyone who just spent three days with relatives will recognize every bit of it.

Max Amini at Encore Theater

Max Amini plays Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on Saturday, December 26 and Sunday, December 27, the last of his 2026 Wynn dates after shows there in the summer and in October. Encore Theater is a proper seated room on the north Strip, the same stage that hosts headliners from Lionel Richie to Nate Bargatze, so stand-up plays like an event rather than a club set.

Two countries, one act

Amini was born in Tucson in 1981 to Iranian parents. When he was eight, the family moved back to Iran, and he grew up there until 17 before finishing high school in Washington, D.C. That back-and-forth is the engine of the act. Two homes, two languages. He studied at UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television, started doing stand-up at the Improv in Los Angeles in 2002, and still performs in both English and Persian. Jerry Seinfeld once named him one of the comedians to watch. TV viewers may know him from Rob Schneider's Netflix series Real Rob.

What the show is like

Quick. Amini keeps the pace up and builds his bits out of real stories, the kind that start with one small family moment and spiral. He works the room, too, and the crowd becomes part of the set. No props, no gimmicks. Just timing.

Planning the night

The weekend after Christmas is one of the busiest of the year on the Strip, and Wynn is dressed for the holidays, so arrive early and walk the resort before the show. Take your time. For the rest of that week, our Christmas in Las Vegas guide covers what plays on and after the 25th, and our comedy clubs guide has stand-up for the other nights.
