Alanis Morissette plays Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Friday, January 1, 2027, one night only. It's one of the first big concerts of the new year on the Strip, and a rare chance to hear "You Oughta Know" in a theater instead of an arena.

Alanis Morissette came to Las Vegas for the first time as a resident in October 2025, eight shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. This time it's a single date at BleauLive, the theater inside Fontainebleau at the north end of the Strip. Expect the Jagged Little Pill songs to anchor the night, the album that won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1996, with "Ironic," "Hand in My Pocket" and "Head Over Feet" in a set built around them.

Thirty years of a record that still sounds angry
Jagged Little Pill came out in 1995, when Morissette was 21. Its first single, "You Oughta Know," was loud and blunt in a way radio had not heard from a woman singer-songwriter, and the album made her a household name. She has seven Grammys and 14 Juno Awards, and her first three internationally released albums all reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The songs grew up with her audience. That's the point of seeing them live.

Fontainebleau books both ends of the holiday weekend. Alanis has Friday, and Train, the band behind "Drops of Jupiter" and "Hey, Soul Sister," takes the same stage on Saturday, January 2. Two nights, two decades of radio, one room.

New Year's Day is a slow morning on the Strip after the street party. Sleep in.
