The Jets 80's & 90's Experience

The Jets 80's & 90's Experience is a 90-minute live concert at the V Theatre Upstairs Showroom at Planet Hollywood, featuring original band members Rudy, Haini and LeRoy alongside Ty Wood. The set pulls from a catalog that produced eight top 10 hits and three platinum albums, including 'Crush on You,' 'You Got It All,' 'Make it Real,' and 'Rocket 2 U' - the 1988 track that earned the group a Grammy nomination.

What separates this from a playlist is the band themselves. The Jets were part of the Minneapolis Sound movement alongside names like Prince, Janet Jackson and Sheila E., and they built that sound as a family band - a dynamic that still shows on stage. Hearing original members perform songs they wrote and recorded decades ago is a different thing from a tribute act or a solo nostalgia tour. The stage chemistry is built in.

The show suits a wide range of groups: families with kids who grew up hearing these songs at home, couples after a lower-key evening than a production spectacular, and groups of friends looking to spend 90 minutes actually singing along to something they know every word of. The V Theatre Upstairs Showroom at Planet Hollywood keeps the setting intimate, so there's no bad seat when the band kicks into the opening notes.
