Marvel Studios Black Panther In Concert

Marvel Studios Black Panther in Concert pairs the full theatrical film with its score performed live by an ensemble of Hollywood studio musicians, African rhythm masters and powerhouse vocalists, all in sync with the screen above them at Resorts World Theatre. The performance runs 90 minutes and covers Ludwig Göransson's complete score - the one that earned both an Oscar and a GRAMMY - played alongside the story of T'Challa stepping into kingship and confronting a threat that reaches beyond Wakanda's borders.

What separates a film-in-concert from a standard screening is the physical presence of the sound. Göransson's score draws on African percussion and choral traditions, and hearing those rhythms driven by live hands rather than speakers changes how the dramatic weight of each scene lands. The African rhythm specialists on stage are not stand-ins for a recorded soundtrack; they are performing material that was built around those exact instruments and textures.

The format works for Marvel fans who know every beat of the film and for anyone who has never seen it. Knowing the story lets you watch the live ensemble work; coming in fresh means the score and the film hit simultaneously for the first time. Either way, the combination of a big screen and a live pit is something a home setup cannot produce.
