Barry Manilow is still headlining in Las Vegas, at the International Theater inside Westgate Las Vegas, on select weekends rather than every night. The show is called The Hits Come Home, and it is exactly that: about 85 minutes of songs most of the audience can sing without looking at a lyric. He is 83. The catalog and the showmanship are why people keep coming.
The show: The Hits Come Home
Barry Manilow: The Hits Come Home is a greatest-hits concert with a live band and a performer who talks to the room between songs like it's his living room. Mandy, Copacabana, Can't Smile Without You, Looks Like We Made It and I Write the Songs are the backbone, and the crowd treats the singalongs as part of the ticket. The stories in between cover five decades of hits, and some of them are funnier than the songs.

Where: International Theater, Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, next to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Run time: about 85 minutes. Ages: 4 and up. Schedule: three-night blocks on select weekends. Best for: fans who grew up on the records, couples and anyone who wants a classic Las Vegas headliner night.
The room he took from Elvis
The International Theater is the showroom Elvis Presley made famous with his long 1970s run, back when the building was the International and then the Las Vegas Hilton. Manilow first played it on January 12, 1988. He came back for his Music and Passion residency at the Hilton from 2005 to 2009, moved to Paris Las Vegas from 2010 to 2012, and then returned to the same stage for The Hits Come Home. Along the way he passed Elvis for the most performances ever given in that theater. In 2024 the Westgate signed him to its first lifetime residency contract. The room is his now.
The songs, and the surprises behind them
Mandy was his breakthrough in 1974, and Copacabana, from 1978, won him his Grammy. The twist fans love: I Write the Songs, the one everyone assumes is his autobiography, was written by Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys. Before the hits, Manilow wrote advertising jingles, including the State Farm "like a good neighbor" tune and the Band-Aid one, and sang on McDonald's spots. He was also Bette Midler's pianist at New York's Continental Baths in 1971, and he went on to produce her first two albums. He has a Tony and an Emmy, too. In 2026 his new single, Once Before I Go, reached the Adult Contemporary chart, more than 50 years after Mandy.
How the dates work
Manilow plays the Westgate in short runs, usually three nights in a row, spread across the year, and he tours between them. The 2027 calendar is already set, with blocks from February into April. Because the runs are short, the good seats go early, and the schedule can shift, so check the dates before you build a trip around him. The Westgate sits off the Strip, but it has its own monorail station, and the ride from the center Strip is quick. Eat at the resort and you skip the traffic.
