Freezone

FreeZone is the Las Vegas bar that practically every local LGBTQ person in town has a story about. It's been around long enough to have a storied past, only some of which is troubled. And it's fun enough to keep going back to whether you're a local who needs to fill a Tuesday night or a tourist who wants to hit up the same cool dive every time they're in town. There's a bar and lounge area to the right and a dance floor that becomes a stage for drag shows to the left, and occasionally the party even spills out into the parking lot. But really FreeZone would be the dive bar of choice for many in the local community not because of everything it offers or its history but because it's just plain fun. Whether you're dancing or holding your birthday party, FreeZone is where you go to cut loose and indulge in dirt cheap drinks and maybe a dirty spin around the stripper pole. FreeZone is located in an area called the Fruit Loop just east of the Strip. Along with the nightclub Piranha and a little bookstore called Get Booked, the Fruit Loop is one of the gay staples of Vegas.
